The National Education Policy 2020 has emphasized reading as a key skill for foundational learning. Honouring the Father of the Library Movement, the Late P N Panicker, 19 June is being celebrated as Reading Day. On Friday, 14 July 2023, the English Department celebrated Reading month in the school assembly.
With the message ‘ Read and Grow’, NCS budding authors shared their experiences and never fading passion for writing and publishing their books. A story was narrated to inculcate reading habit and create the world of fiction. The features of Reading club was presented in the form of a conversation highlighting the benefits of developing reading habit. Vote of was proposed and the Principal showered appreciation over the participants for their enthusiastic involvement in the program.
